At the heart of Friends Village is a commitment to life enrichment, including a certified music and memory program that helps residents reconnect with their memories to a familiar soundtrack. Staff work with residents to plan enrichment events that may include card games, book groups, exercise classes, or trips to cultural events in the Philadelphia or Wilmington region. Guest speakers and visiting performances round out a full activity calendar, and area clubs meet regularly on campus.
A fitness center includes a medical director and access to physical or occupational therapy. Personal care, memory care, and skilled nursing are also offered as a full range of care for residents.
Dining is always a highlight for residents, especially with an award-winning chef dreaming up imaginative and traditional dishes for meals in the restaurant-style dining room. The community center offers a library, art exhibition gallery, or social spaces to meet with friends in between meals.
