During the week of July 16, 2018, Shannondell at Valley Forge hosted S3Living along with several of its clients for a lunch and learn information session. Shannondell, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC also known as a Life Plan Community) located in Audubon, PA, features two club house areas and a state of the art performing arts theater.
S3Living clients learned that Shannondell has both resale units and new construction units available. Many of the questions that were asked by S3Living clients and the other 45+ attendees centered around the entrance fee and when it would be refunded. Answers to these questions as well as others concerning the parking, activities offered and transportation within and without of the community were all expertly fielded by the Shannondell’s marketing department.
Following the video and question and answer session, we toured one of the clubhouses and had lunch. On the lower level of the clubhouse, I saw something I have never seen at any of the other CCRCs in Philadelphia. It was a model train room, featuring several miniature town and mountain scenes with at least 15 active miniature trains running for our enjoyment. This amazing room was at least 1,000 square feet, filled trains and tracks and lights and sounds. If you have the opportunity to tour Shannondell, this room is not to be missed.
